this wave of new media is pretty spectacular. now, there are all sorts of ways you can be creating unique video content for your company or blog…whether it’s a video of your travels, a behind the scenes style post, a little recipe video, a studio tour…

yesterday we made this little video to show you. and we edited the whole thing using photoshop!

come join our blogshop video class and let us teach you how! and don’t worry, you don’t need a fancy camera to make your videos cool, i made this one with my iPhone! we will teach you all of it…

we will go over content, a section on shooting (even stop motion), angles, lighting, titles…it will be a JAM packed course!

and you can sign up for our toronto blogshop here! new cities announced real soon.

we finally put all of our videos in one place! if you are interested in taking blogshop and want to watch behind the scenes…here’s where to do it!

we are super excited to announce we booked our space for our portland blogshop! Fontana Studios is located at the charming historical North Coast Seed Building who host around 40 units filled with architects, painters, photographers, designers and woodworkers. we thought it would be the perfect place to set up shop.

1. noteify heart SF tote bags – represent your city!

2. see those instagram magnets up there? i loved how they turned out! stickygram uses this great matte finish and gives you these tiny little memories to stick on your fridge. a great way to print out your vacation photos. or give them as a gift!

that wood wall makes me want to bust out a saw real bad. someone needs to recreate this!

3. wood + metallic yoyos from something’s hiding in here! (love the packaging in those bags!)

typewriters on the wall? ok, i’m sold. and you see that yellow wall up there? it’s made purely of PENCILS! imagine the patience that took. turned out awesome though.

4. colorful cutout arrow cards (see all the colors here) designed by ashley pahl!

5. our friends over at arch supplies sent us these cool wooden pencils & notepads. fit the vibe of the space quite well! have you guys visited arch? you should!

those hanging lights looked amazing!

and an additional shout out to wasara for your lovely tableware, uppercase magazine and our friends over at adobe photoshop!

i know, that wall is incredible! and so was this class. thanks for showing us such a great time, san francisco! excited to see a whole lotta new blogs come to life.

this time we made ourselves right at home at victoria’s house for SF blogshop (two classes back to back). we had never done that before, and I felt proud that we were even able to sell two in a row! it was pretty exhausting, but at the same time totally fulfilling. there are so many new blogs about to be born after those classes, and that makes me feel really great.

we taught in this space called the bold italic (if you live in SF, you have got to check this place out!) it was an artist’s paradise. now, let me tell you a little bit about our awesome sponsors!

1. maptote: SF tote bags that were beyond perfect. find your city here.
2. One True Love Rentals set up these cool vintage school themed props! they do great work.

3. Enjoy Events Co: two adorable gals that NAILED the flower arrangements & garland decor. if i was going to turn into a flower arrangement, this is what i would want to look like.
4. Greenhouse Design Studio gave our students these beautiful linen napkins (i’m so happy i was able to snag one!) and these natural tea leaf soaps that smelled fantastic.

see, isn’t this space so rad? the wood work was beyond impressive. (and another flower arrangement by the enjoy girls!)

5. Reverie Daydream: these detailed letter press monogrammed flat cards (i like these too)

oh! and two of our students traveled all the way from guatemala to attend the class. crazy, right! they brought these little handmade “worry dolls” to give to everyone as a nice gift. you are supposed to put them under your pillow to take your worries away. boy, do i need that.

6. Ellington donated these colorful leather change purses (the bold red is my fave)
7. MattieLuxe made individual place mats with the student’s names on them! great for parties.

8. Acme Party Box: these cute DIY terrariums. green thumb not required.

9. Wasara: i am seriously obsessed with this company. They sell these disposable cups, bowls and plates that make your events look top notch. the design is extraordinary!

10. EarthLust: eco-friendly water bottles. hey, we keep our students hydrated!
11. Viv & Ingrid: tiny stud earrings to wear on a casual day.

12. Uppercase Magazine: one of my favorite magazines! I gladly pass these babies out in class. (have you read the most recent issue?)

this group was filled with a buncha fire balls. ready to learn. ready to tackle photoshop! ps, designers have you taken a look at the new version? i am excited to see what’s next.

thanks caitlin for hosting the class & helping us put together a wonderful event! couldn’t have done it without ya.

if you want to learn more about what we teach in class, head on over here and here! (still a few spots in portland) and we are getting ready to announce new cities…sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know about it.

i have been thinking a lot about blogshop. and i feel apart of something big. bigger than i can imagine really. and that feeling can’t really be put into words…

well well, what do we have here? a profesh blogshop teacher portrait? it looks that way!

we picked out these glorious string lights from paris to decorate the space (you can find them here) i love that you can choose your own variety of colors and personalize them…

curtain road studios in london was THE perfect space. and such a good energy in this class too (i still can’t get over how NICE people are in london!) the all white sure added to the good energy.

the goodie bags were pretty fun this time around! here’s where you can find these awesome companies:

1. we actually just made these magnets. picked up some little ceramic trinkets and glued a magnet to the backs. simple!
2. lisa congdon designed these adorable mid-century chair tattoos for tattly!
3. i wear these ban.do pom flowers just about everyday. different colors for every mood.
4. it was time to switch up the design for our pinhole press notebooks! each class gets a special cover.

the rebel rebel flowers in vintage bottles made the space just perfect!

6. how bout those cute tiny crescent triangle earrings?
(can you tell we love taping stuff to the wall?)

7. we are big fans of these neon ampersands printed on heavy cardstock.
8. you can’t really go wrong with a big pink heart on a white card!
9. those yellow happy note cards with gold foil. i can’t get over how perfect those are! (she has other colors too)

these pictures bring back such good memories for me!

i can’t thank mailchimp enough for sending my bestie to london to photograph behind the scenes! and now we have TONS of photos to use for our eblasts. every company should use mailchimp for custom email newsletters. they are so helpful for us, seriously! (speakin of that – have you signed up for our mailing list to hear about the city announcements before anyone else?)

and one of our students made this adorable behind the scenes video! it really shows how cool the space was, so i thought i would share it with you guys! we are announcing cities within the next few days, stay tuned!

we stopped in new york to teach blogshop before heading to london. (it sure made that flight short and easy) there was such a wide variety of students attending this time. high school students, moms, food bloggers, wedding planners, stylists, writers…the list goes on. it sure makes things interesting in there!

great links from our new york class!

1. colorful chanel nail polish poster! samantha’s illustrations are so wonderful.
2. rebecca tricked out our space with that cool window decor & vintage props!

3. tattly: a never ending supply of well-designed temporary tattoos.

4. curious creatures: we love these geometric brass triangle necklaces. simple and lovely.
5. tokketok: perforated cards with funny words you can pass out to your friends.

6. knot & bow: our favorite place to go for metallic twine!
7. pretty please: a student in our class handed out these “blogger babe” nail polishes! you can name your own polish for parties and events.

8. we really enjoy working with pinhole press to make our blogshop notebooks. we just upload the artwork for the cover and a photo for the inside and that’s it. it’s super easy and has given me a place to write my 5,000 to-do lists!

angela and i had a big meeting tonight and picked a bunch of new cities and dates. sign up for our mailing list and be the first one to know about it when they’re announced!

as always, we love you new york! you can expect we will be back.
